The MacGuffin Guild

On this episode of the MacGuffin Guild, we're gonna join a martial artist as he hunts a killer in the plague-infested urban dump of the future... in Cyborg.

This 1989 Action, Sci-Fi, Thriller was Directed by Albert Pyun and Stars Jean-Claude Van Damme, Vincent Klyn, Deborah Richter and Dayle Haddon as the cyborg Pearl Prophet.

We're gonna talk about slingers, Jean-Claude's convoluted film edit, the plight of Mr. Belvedere, Mike's favorite actor and the tragedy of Jackson "Rock" Pinckney.

We'll discuss post-apocalyptic cake toppers, slow motion play fights, satellite butlers, Albert Pyun and the two films that were originally planned that led to the creation of Cyborg.

We'll get into what Pat's last name should be, Chuck from Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, Justin's disgust for the Hobbit films, the bass player of Killswitch Engage and how the guys think this film's plot should have gone.

I'm Pat Dougherty and as always I'll be joined by my fellow MacGuffin's Justin Jones and Mike Antonio.  Our theme song was written and performed by Jordan Vincent. So, toss out those plot points and take in that rain soaked Jean-Claude action in... Cyborg.
